I know what it's like to have a close relative die of cancer, My grandpa died of of cancer. Yeah it feels bad and painful but i always tried to stay as strong as i could for my family because they needed me as much as i need them.
It was friday and i was walking home because i had spent the night at my sister-in-law's house. So i got home just to get my stuff for school and all of a sudden i see everyone sad and crying. I knew this day was going to come because when they first told us that he had cancer, they said there was nothing to because he was to old to get surgery. So the doctor told us that he wasn't going to last much longer.
So once i got home i ran to the room where he was staying and i saw all my family around him. Then i saw him laying there like he was sleeping. I ran up to him and i hugged him because i didn't want him to leave me. I told him i loved him and that i was going to miss him. Then the nurses came to clean him up so they can take him to another place. I had to let him go, but i didn't want to. So i started to cry again. Finally after they cleaned him up we all gave him a goodbye hug and they took him. But what was good about all this was that he didn't suffer and don't have pain, he just took a big breath and died. He also never found out he had cancer because we never wanted to tell him, until like the last days he started to kinda find out.
In conclusion this is the story of how my grandpa died and what i learned from this is that no matter what happens always stay strong for the rest of the people that surround you and count on you because they're going to need you and your support.
